The ACC is never going to lock down it's tourney long term in one city...
...now that we stretch the entire Atlantic coast. I'm sure the Garden wanted a bit of stability, and the BE gives that to them.
I don't mind a rotating basketball tournament. It gives ACC fans a chance to plan vacations to different cities instead of just going to Greensboro every year.
But I feel differently with football. Panther Stadium gives us a central location. We thoroughly screwed the pooch picking Jacksonville when the league started it's championship games. I know they expected F$U to play scUM every year, so that probably wouldn't have been a mistake if they had made it. But Miami has only won the Coastal once, and its seriously doubtful they will become a dominant team like CU or F$U in the Atlantic.
Charlotte is the best geographic fit for a single long term football destination.
